The District Attorneys - "Orders From..."

Rating: The District Attorneys is a band from Atlanta, Georgia. Their debut EP has a classic, country rock and roll sound that sounds a lot like Band of Horses with added harmonica and vocal harmonies, both of which add a lot of character and are the band’s strongest points. Otherwise, “Orders From…” is somewhat dull and unoriginal. They are a group of very talented musicians who do what they do very well, but they don’t introduce anything new. My biggest complaint is the vocals are mixed with too much reverb, which is a shame because the singer is so talented. Overall, the EP is a fun listen but it lacks originality. Recommended tracks include “Splitsville” and “Sweetheart All Reckless And Humble.” -Jake Thompson
