"Gone," the recently released album by Vacationer, is a great, upbeat way to kick off Spring. This album will do exactly as its name suggests; remove you from the presence of stressful everyday life allowing you to enjoy right now, and leaving you better prepared to embrace what's to come next. "Chilling out" is what inspires their music as they proclaim on their Facebook page - and that's exactly what you should expect when listening to this experimental indie band. Check out their website, vacationermusic.com, they'll bring you to any number of places while listening to songs like "Trip." - Ashley Powell

"To describe Xerxes is no easy task, one might write them off as a simple hardcore band, but I feel that they are much more than that. I think if you take a little dose of La Dispute and add in some Touche Amore, and then top it off with some angsty hardcore (i.e. Trash Talk), you will find yourself Xerxes. Our Home is a Deathbed is 11 songs filled with pure emotion over crashing cymbals and powerful guitars, the lyrics tug at the heart and beg to be yelled as you bang your head with the music. While hardcore isn't my favorite genre, I think that Xerxes released one of the best of the year with Our Home is a Deathbed." - Joe Deegan

"You know those days where you just want to relax in bed? Whether it's reading or sleeping or just sitting there and thinking, Elephant & Castle's Transitions is the soundtrack to those lazy days. This ambient/downtempo electronica music will relax you more than any of those Sounds of Nature CDs without boring you. Using all types of samples and synthesizers, the record is certainly a journey. So, just relax and let Elephant & Castle take you away on a calming expedition."

Dinosaur Feathers is a band of complete energy. They have a very unique guitar sound and beachy, melodious harmonies. Also included are random but fantastic additions in the song like funky keyboarding and bass. The vocals have a similar sound to Hot Hot Heat's vocalist, but still very distinct. - Emily Kramer
