Hey West Chester, we have a special DJ of the Week this week! Two of our DJ's have been selected!

Meet DJ's Haroon Zaman and Vivek Paulose! Haroon loves to chill and listen to music. If you see him walking around campus, you will most likely see him with his airpods in. Haroon loves talking to people and describes himself as a "social butterfly."

Vivek has listened to music for as long as he can remember. He says that DJing on his radio show has been a fun experience for him and he is glad to be apart of the WCUR fam. Vivek's major is undecided, but he hopes to be an architect one day!

Haroon and Vivek describe their show, "RV Talk," as so, "Our show is a chill out and listen to music while doing homework, laying in bed vibin or any type of scenario where you just need to calm down and relax. We also like trying to asking questions that might make you laugh or think about something in a new portrait."

When asked to describe her show, Aaliyah says, "Nonstop talk about K-Pop! My show is all about breaking the stigma around K-Pop and introducing listeners to the music, culture, and language of Korea. I dive into the many years of K-Pop, from 1st to 4th Gen. artists, and play a variety of its styles/subgenres such as K-Rock, K-R&B, Deep house, Psytrance, Noise, Experimental, and everything in between."

Exec Spotlight: Erick Klambara

Erick is our WCUR Business Manager! He is currently a senior majoring in Media and Culture with a Journalism minor. A fun fact about Erick is that he plays the electric guitar and has recorded and released multiple instrumental albums.

When asked about his favorite thing about WCUR, Erick says, "I love how welcoming everyone in the station is! I also love getting the chance to rock out and spin some of my favorite tunes for all to hear during my show!"

Eddie is our WCUR Programming Director! He is currently a junior majoring in Early Grades and Special Education. A fun fact about Eddie is that he has two younger brothers, one of them is a freshman at Temple right now (he also sometimes joins him on his show).

When asked about his favorite thing about WCUR, Eddie said, "All the amazing people I've gotten to meet and the wonderful shows I get to listen to."

Joe says, "This is actually my debut album with a band I formed with a good friend of mine. Beyond the Trees is the debut album of The Groundhog Men, a Pennsylvania-based rock/soft rock band. The fourteen-tracked collection of works includes songs written about the general human experience in addition to the introspective view of the band members upon themselves. Paul Vink, the band's pianist and primary guitar player, displays a barrage of unparalleled talent on the keys while Joe's lyrics touch the chords within the heart and mind's ear. Three of the songs also feature another WCUR DJ @erick_klambara on guitar. Check it out on all streaming platforms!"
