| Matt Toal | General Manager | Matt joined WCUR in January of 2010. He began hosting TOAL TiME the very same semester with his sister, Ashley, making them the first brother-sister DJ duo on WCUR. Upon Ashley’s graduation in May of 2010, Matt became the sole host of TOAL TiME. Noticing WCUR could be doing much more on campus and in the community, Matt ran for and won the position of Programming Director in December 2010. While programming director, Matt, along with past general manager Sam Krepps, created an entirely new disciplinary procedure for WCUR members which focused on making the staff closer and more committed to the station. The new procedure saw tremendous results, increasing station meeting attendance and setting a tone of professionalism at WCUR. Matt also spearheaded a renovation of the WCUR studios to give the station a more professional look. In April 2011 Matt became General Manager of WCUR. In August of 2011, Matt led the executive staff to completely re-write the groups by-laws. The new by-laws focused on giving the general staff members of WCUR more rights. The new by-laws passed unanimously in September 2011. During his time as GM, the station has created new partnerships with major entertainment venues, increased campus events by 400%, interviewed dozens of celebrities, and created a new video news series which plays on all campus televisions and is sent to all of West Chester University’s 15,000 students every week. In addition to serving as General Manager, Matt still hosts his weekly radio show, TOAL TiME, every Thursday from 6-8pm. |
| Adam Barnard | Programming Director | Adam is a senior at WCU studying history. He joined WCUR in March 2010. When Sam Krepps was promoted to General Manager in the Spring of 2010, Adam was elected as Special Events Director. Adam oversaw 2011′s “Grand Ram Band Jam”, with proceeds that went to Invisible Children, a charity that helps end child abduction. He was selected as Programming Director at the end of the Spring 2011 semester. After taking over the position, he worked in close contact with GM Matt Toal to help implement WCUR’s new by-law system, as well as his duties of overseeing all committee organizations and the scheduling of all WCUR shows. From February 2010 to December 2011, Adam hosted Foundation Radio with Greg Mead and Sam Krepps every Thursday night from 8-10pm. During that time, Adam interviewed a score of celebrities including Shady Records recording artist Yelawolf and alternative rock band Valencia. In the spring of 2012, Adam will be hosting The Toal Foundation with WCUR GM Matt Toal every Thursday night from 6-10pm. |
