Simmons has stepped up in the absence of all-star center Joel Embiid, who is still recovering from a hand injury sustained in early January. Sixers fans have hoped for Simmons to play a more aggressive style of basketball, to which he has responded by averaging a strong 20 points per game since Embiid’s injury.
